Fundraising

Fundraising is an important element of our Providence Nursery School cooperative. The money raised supports extra programs like music class, replaces worn toys and equipment, and helps teachers to purchase supplies.

You can help our fundraising efforts by attending events, and also by volunteering your time. Special events are a great opportunity to meet and hang out with other families in our PNS community. Most of us have chosen PNS because it is a co-op, and fundraising events are another chance to participate and help in the educational mission of our school. If you are interested in volunteering to help with any of our fun events, please contact our Fundraising Chairs.

Here are some of the fundraising events that may be held throughout the school year:

Restaurant Nights

Enjoy a meal out and support our school at the same time! Details of these events will be sent out in the monthly newsletter and by email.

PNS Book Fair at Barnes and Noble

Each fall Barnes and Noble hosts Providence Nursery School for our biggest fundraising event of the school year. We have story-times, arts and crafts, and lots of other fun activities for the little ones. We receive a portion of the sales of items purchased using our special code, including sales from online purchases. Friends and family across the US can participate!

Holiday Shop

Time for our kiddos to shop for all the special people in their lives on a Saturday in early December! This event, a joint venture with the PNS Social Committee, is more about family fun than fundraising. Little ones have a chance to select holiday gifts for loved ones in the Holiday Shop and then enjoy treats and activities as well. There may even be a visit from Santa himself.

PNS Apparel

Support PNS by purchasing a T-shirt or another item with the PNS logo. Items are available throughout the school year. Contact our Fundraising Chairs for pricing and availability.

All-School Playdates

Get together on a morning off from school for a visit to an indoor gym, or a themed playdate in the Big Room at the preschool.

Spring Class Basket Raffle

Each class puts together a themed basket of goodies to raffle off, along with donations and gift cards from local businesses.

Amazon Wishlist

Our teachers have put together a wishlist on Amazon for needed books and materials to enrich our classrooms. Please consider purchasing items off the wishlist to help fulfill these needs!
