4s Class Teacher

After many years of being part of the Providence Nursery School family as a co-oping parent, Board member, and aide, I am thrilled to be able to continue on to teach the 4s class.

I have always believed in the philosophy that children learn best through their play. That is what drew me to PNS years ago when I was searching for a preschool for my own children. I am thankful now for the opportunity to teach the 4s class and help other children learn by exploring the world around them each day. By providing age appropriate, play-based and hands-on activities, I hope to help build early literacy and math skills at a pace that works for each individual child. My goal is to provide your child with a safe, loving, learning environment where they can grow and thrive, and most importantly, have fun!

I received a B.A. in Psychology from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. I began a Masters program in Counseling at Towson University before moving to Northern Virginia. Since becoming a mom to my two boys and throughout my time at PNS, I have taken numerous classes in Early Childhood Education. When I’m not at school, I spend my time volunteering in my kids’ classrooms, serving on their PTA Boards, and chauffeuring them to their many activities. I also love to travel, cook, and do almost anything outdoors.
