ENROLLING NOW for 2026-27 School year!
I have always had a passion for education and helping children grow into confident, curious, and compassionate learners. It is a privilege to be part of a child's early learning journey, and I love creating a classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to explore, play, and discover.
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Juniata College and my M.Ed. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from Penn State. My education and experience have given me a strong foundation in understanding how children learn, grow, and thrive. While my training has prepared me to support children across all stages of development, I have always been drawn to the preschool years. I believe these early years provide the foundation for lifelong learning, making them an especially important time to build confidence, encourage curiosity, and cultivate a sense of wonder about the world around them.
Our family's connection to Providence Nursery School began in 2017 when my son entered the Threes class. We quickly fell in love with the school's warm, supportive community, and I was excited to become actively involved through co-oping, volunteering, and building meaningful relationships with families and staff. I later served on the Executive Board for three years as treasurer, and even after my own children moved on to elementary school, I knew I wanted to remain part of this special community. For the past three years, I've had the joy of working as an aide in both the CDO and Twos classes, learning from our wonderful teachers while supporting our youngest students and their families.
Being part of the Providence Nursery School community for nearly a decade has given me an even deeper appreciation for the caring, collaborative environment that makes this school so special. I am excited to continue supporting children's academic, social, and emotional growth through hands-on, play-based learning experiences that foster creativity, independence, resilience, and a love of discovery.
Outside of school, you'll usually find me cheering on my own children at one of their many activities. I also enjoy reading, running, and spending time with my family. I have coached my daughter's soccer team for the past four years and currently serve as Treasurer of our local Cub Scout Pack. Giving back to my community has always been important to me, both inside and outside the classroom.
It is truly an honor to be part of each child's educational journey. I look forward to partnering with families to help every child build confidence, develop kindness, and nurture a lifelong love of learning.
